Brandi is the owner of Stained Glass Counseling, PLLC. She currently holds licenses in Texas and Colorado including Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC, LCDC) and has been working in the mental health field for five years. She earned her BA in Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University and her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary. Brandi’s specialties lie in working with young adults and professionals in individual and group settings with mental health and substance abuse struggles. She has additional trainings and expertise in trauma, addiction, anxiety/depression, and burnout.

As a counselor, Brandi is passionate about absorbing all aspects of people’s stories and walking alongside them as they put the pieces together to make something more beautiful than before, like stained glass. She helps her clients raise awareness of the impact of life experiences on their personhood and challenges underlying beliefs which lead to issues such as depression, anxiety, and addiction. Her hope is that her clients feel empowered to face life’s challenges and supported throughout their time in treatment.

Brandi’s approach to counseling begins with the foundational belief that you are the expert on yourself. Her goal is to see you, know you, and trust your experience of life. Brandi also knows, that we go to counseling because there is something we are experiencing that we would like to be different. She seeks to empower clients to reach their goals of change and healing through creating a treatment plan unique to each client focused on their entire self (physical, psychological, social, and spiritual). She uses traditional talk-therapy approaches to understand and challenge your perspective and tool-based approaches such as Cognitive/Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (CBT/DBT) and Rational-Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) to help clients challenge thoughts and manage emotions in daily life. Brandi helps clients engage with the brain-body connection and address trauma history through the treatment approaches of mindfulness and Brainspotting.
